Not an advancement at all. He had that flow all along. Comm chose to do certain things at certain times. If you're ever in Chicago during summertime. Check to see if Comm is performing. He does certain things at home than he wouldn't normally do on record or elsewhere. Check him out in Chi (summer) Free concert. Diverse crowd and safe zone. Nothing to worry about.

@@grapograc Common's lyrical approach while performing @Chicago are different. He attacks the mic differently than he does elsewhere. These concerts are usually free of charge with no record label promotion or forcing Common to perform radio hits only. Totally different vibe.

I know. I just started following her on IG and DJ Jazzy Jeff posted he told people years ago that Maimouna Youssef was the truth. It sucks that she hasn't gotten the maximum exposure she deserves. Even though we are late I'm happy her tiny desk performance has garnered her new fans. Hope she keeps getting more play. Can't wait to hear more from Vintage Babies album.

Yes. The industry struggles to put real talent. She has more talent than most out there. She probably wanted to retain her musical autonomy and not conform to what the industry tends to do to some women.
