She is so underrated in my opinion. She is so talented. I like her stage presence.❤️😍
Daaamn. She is awesome. The band is amazing. That bassist is killing it!
She’s such a freaking rockstar. I’ve always liked her music and this performance absolutely reminded me why.
A pop star playing Cello amazingly for the first time live, this is why I love Tiny Desk. Shoutouts to you guys for allowing artists to push the limits and create dope music

Ah I'm a huge fan of Betty and have seen her a few times now but sweet Jesus, this cello feature needs to be a staple in her music wow. This was like sweet honey
I love that she can't shut up. I mean that in a good way. She's blathering because this means so much to her, and it's kind of endearing and adorable in a spazzy way.

Sounds to me like you're saying I'm doing it. Just in a backhanded way. Also, I'd love to see some proof of that. Seems to me that the common remark on videos by female artists is to talk exclusively about the female artist and ignore the band. Just look at the comments below. If you want to get into issues of sexism, I'd say the biggest problem is people talking exclusively about female musicians' looks. That bothers me, for sure. But I really don't think what you're talking about is a pattern at all. I wouldn't have commented on the band if they weren't exceptional. The keyboardist -- who appears to be female, btw -- clearly has an incredible jazz background. So does the bassist, who happens to be black like the keyboardist. So charges of marginalization are kind of absurd in this particular case. Sorry to marginalize a woman in exchange for a black woman and black man!

@@elrapaz7484 I complimented her band and somehow it was made into me having an agenda against women. You also have no idea what race or gender I even am. That profile pic is not a picture of me, ftr. I brought up some valid points -- about the identities of the other band members -- which contradict the original accusation. But instead of addressing that, which you can't do because it's undebatable and it undermines your agenda, you decide to go after my (assumed) identity. What you're doing is no different than what you think "white males" do. There is no monolithic group of "white males" any more than there's a monolithic group of "black women." Stop buying into cheap narratives.

Just the eight first compasses of "Dancing under the Stars" to realize that Betty KNOWS what is she doing. Strong voice, solid player of cello ...and then the band put the rest properly tuned...they are ready for the big leagues.
All arrangements were beautiful especially the one with the Cello
