    My wife and friend say that the thing about Cowboy Junkies that is beautiful is that they don't even sound like they're trying. Watching this little concert, you can see how carefully she frames it, and then lets it drip, organically, from her mouth, as her bandmates let it spring from their fingertips. They are where they should be, doing what they should be doing, for the right reasons, and in the right way. How many of us can say that? Bless 'em.

    Great Band , Margo a Goddess ,,Great Canadian Music like so much that has been and so many presently and always more to come.The Roots of Canada Musically Run Deep . Note The Band of Siblings ,,The Timmins Family .. Grandfather was a Mining Mogul and Timmins Ontario is named after him

    I will never forget your stunning performance at 'Sweetwaters' festival in Aotearoa (New Zealand) in 1996. I was a young pup, but it blew me away!!! Ka pai.

    Great album, but for me, it's "Black Eyed Man", a few years later , a Townes song, a duet with Prine ( if memory serves ), and especially "Southern Rain" , an underrated Canadian classic.

    Have been a Cowboy Junkies fan since the 80's ... her collaboration with Tom Wilson on his Lee Harvey Osmond album " A Quiet Evil " was simply the icing on the cake for us Canadian music fans ... adore both of them ...

    brad sanders I went to my first live CJs in San Diego at Humphrey’s with a neighbor. I knew zero of them. Neighbor was an engineer nerd. He yelled out in a lull ‘Margo, you are a goddess!’ Blew me over with a feather! I’m a devotee....

    When my ex and I split up 25 years ago, the CJ's 'Trinity Sessions' was one of my first purchases to cheer myself up. They still sound ethereal and marvelous after all these years.

    Matt Guest saw her in Annapolis MD in May, her version of Sweet Jane is so good. Going to see them in Manhattan on Sunday for their new one "All that Reckoning" seems like a very mellow albunlm even moreso than usual

    Margo sounds better since she stopped dyeing her hair. The very definition of Canadian Cool. Margo will usually stay after a concert to chat and autograph and take pix with the fans. (With Los Lobos, the most under appreciated bands of all time.)

    Randy Miller III .... September 11, 2001 was the date the twin towers in NYC and the Pentagon in Washington DC were attacked and thousands of people lost their lives ... I imagine despite being Canadian they did it out of respect for those that lost their lives that day ... many of us in Canada were traumatized by this event as well ... :(

    They are neither cowboy's or junkies. Margo is the deliverer of her brother's writing, words. Per' me it's their familial knowing that make Margo such an amazing songstress.

    No other way to say it - Margo always looks like she's constipated when singing. Great catalog of music stretching back to the 1980s, but that grimacing face always bugs me.

    Id like to learn ore bout them. is this really a family band ? Is "Junkie" their last name ? If they're canadian what does "Cowboy" have to do with them ? I think a better name for their band would be "Hockey Puck Junkies" or "Moose Cowboys", "Maple Syrup Riders" ... "New Riders of the Tundra Ice".

    John Russell Guitarist Mike, singer Margo and drummer Pete are siblings. Bassist Alan is a lifelong family friend. As for the name, it was one of those thrown together well-this-is-weird-so-it-should-get-some-attention kinda deals.
