I remember running into her on the street in Brooklyn when she was living here. Just smiled and nodded. (Native NYers tend to leave people be.) But a few weeks later I was in the subway and had just missed a train. Only one other person waiting and it was Lizz! This time I gushed briefly of my love for her work. She was really sweet and appreciative. Nice to know when someone who's blessed with immense talent -- and beauty -- is a gracious regular person. I've seen her in concert several times since and never tire of her beautiful voice and her warmth. If you have the opportunity to catch her when she comes your way, GO!
