I'm crying. His music sounds like when its raining as the sun's out, when all the tiny rain drops embody the grandness of the glorius, vibrant sun. It looks like it's raining sunshine, but yet it smells like dew, and feels so fresh. Ahhh. So satisfying to all the senses

Lol that was so poetic but also I feel so inaccurate. Usually sunshowers are all swampy and humid. And the smell of dew and rain is not pleasant at all imo. But to each their own.

I interpreted it a bit different. I think hes (like all of us) been hurt before, which turns into pain that creates more pain. So basically, he has now hurt somebody, and knows what it feels like to be hurt, and understands the fragility of pain and how it can be reproduced. We all believe when we are in love, the other person is perfect and round, but we all carry pain in us that hurt others without wanting it. Its one of the bitter experiences of life.

He said he's been singing in falsetto since he was a kid. I'm guessing the range just came naturally from that or he used it so much that he never lost any range. Interesting either way

Most ethereal tiny desk I've ever listened to. Moses is such an original artist.

Him holding that falsetto for 16 seconds in Doomed...wow wow wow. This man is talent and soul personified

this is hands down the best Tiny Desk. I fucking love Aromanticism. This was so beautiful. I'm emotional. I didn't know how much I was yearning for Moses Sumney's music until I was blessed to hear it.

these are my feelings exactly. coming across his music was like coming across the answer. the question? Me.

If he's able to do this much with just three backing artists, just wondering what he might be able to accomplish with an orchestra behind him. I see some kind of portal taking shape that would transport listeners to another universe. An even grander one.

This made me simultaneously very happy and very sad. Happy, because it’s always a delight to find new, amazing music. Sad because there is so much new - and old - amazing music that I’ll probably never see. It’s a great tragedy. But at least I got to hear this ☺️

I have to Say i've been Listend to Moses sumney Music for a while and He is a really versatile Musican. Sometimes He is totaly in the Jazz or Soul Mood and sometimes it seems for me nearly psychedelic ,which i Like. I think the Art about him is,that He found His inner middle,and he knows exactly how to Play with all those emotions and Feelings and create His own Atmosphere.

I first heard the instrumental version of Doomed by Ramin Djawadi on Westworld. I prefer that version, but both hit differently and both men are geniuses.

I will be the first to admit that I was sleeping on this young man's album. After watching this I've, literally, listened to Aromanticism for days. I had the pleasure of seeing him at a James Blake concert as the opening act and can truly say I'm a fan-fan now. He's tremendously talented.

He is the kind of being Who makes me remember why the music it's an art.

after coming to listen to this beaut for the past 2 or 3 years, I have decided it is the best npr tiny desk concert

Well, Tiny Desk has again opened my eyes to another amazing artist I didn't know about. Amazing.

My dad just showed me this and i immediately wanna cry, its so raw, angelic, and overall just beautiful of a composition

I come back to this regularly. This performance of Doomed is my favourite and just moves me to tears everytime. The music is stunning, the words astound me everytime - his artistry is stunning.

This was a spiritual experience! Love me some him!

Moses, you are merging truths and doing it in a healthy and open way. I tried to tell you what I believe your HISTORY is (bastardy and lies the same as in mine) but I'm so old I don't understand technology or have your access to it to tell the story I see in the pile of rubble you are delving into to pull out the "call and response" that the Originators used to communicate. If you go to the Comments on your "Cut" album, you can read the history that (IMHO) could have destroyed you but that over time, but that you carried through Time waiting for NOW. Crazy is a label I've had to live with, so you can write off everything I've addressed to you. Keep going! Your voice is not only beautiful, it's on a frequency of LOVE available to more spirits than are ready to hear you! Best to you!!!

It's kinda amazing how curated the sound is, in an environment designed to strip down an artists sound. Moses and King Krule and Tyler turn the tiny desk into a damn studio
