IKR these guys are so good!
Sylvan Esso please record an album with a full band This sounds great!
These guys are real innovators. I love them with only electronic instruments, or like this. Kind of amazing.
The mellow feel with the saxophone is amazing
This is such a coming-of-age-movie song, I love it!
The sound is so good on this recording I literally cried.
These live ones sound much better than the album.
Beautiful performance!
That moment at the end when Nick and Amelia are obviously so thrilled with this recording...amazing. Ryan's guitar work on this whole session is ridiculous as well. Flawless performances on all five songs. Thanks NPR.
I hope they release these as a record

Looks like the album is no longer for sale on their website. iTunes and Google Music have it for sale digitally
This makes me so happy! I see back-up vocals being done by one of Amelia's coparts from Mountain Man ♥♥♥♥
Wow im in love with this song
U guys should tour with this lineup!
I prefer this version over the original but I still love them both!
those harmonizers are so good omg
Day three, and the saxophonist continues to rock my world flawlessly. Who is he/with whom does he play?

Matt Douglas, he's a member of the Mountain Goats and has played with Bon Iver and Hiss Golden Messenger, among others

Damn, I hope tomorrows vid is Radio! These have been great!
Dude, so sick
Wow!!! Holly Moolly!
this is so infectious
I heard this version first. Then listened to the vevo release. Then came back to this. I like both. But like this version better. It's a well written song. Would sound good with piano or guitar. Or in a choral arrangement. When a piece of music works it just works. I'll be whistling this for awhile I think.
This is amazing!!1 they are so under rated :(
So goooooood!
the studio version is already great but this is somehow even better
So talented.
A little different than their usual sound, but I really dig it.
owe i appreciate good music
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Grandma grandma grandma!!
I want to get an SG
Ребята, приезжайте в Россию!
Singers building up some nice static charge at 1:11 - was half expecting one of them to get a shock from a mic stand :)
Saxxxxxaphone!!!!
Wait, is this song about The Glow Pt 2 by The Microphones? I wasn't seeing anything about it in the comments, so I wasn't sure.

Sebastián Alegría, thanks for sharing this! That's a really cool story about her listening to it. That was the way I felt when I discovered Funeral by Arcade Fire. It was the album that really made me realize that music could be more than an intellectual love. That music could be understood emotionally, even for someone like me who rarely ever feels things on an emotional level. I could relate to her story. I also felt an intellectual and emotional joy when I listened to The Glow Pt 2 for the first time about a month ago
I'd attribute this to Mountain Man, and friends
What's the chance of so many red heads in one band?

Pretty sure this is the biggest hipster channel in the history of KZread. I can almost small the topknots and 1950s clothing through my phone

What? NPR? You don't get out much, do you...

Yes. NPR. There's a fairly good chance that i get out more than you do, however, i don't see how that has anything to do with NPR being a hipster-fest.
@snolan6970YT

You're right. NPR should totally give the Chainsmokers, Beyonce and Florida Georgia Line more airtime. How dare they play something that isn't mainstream pop.
@effekt4

Because the only non-mainstream music is made up of hipster bands

Ahhh. So you're simply uneducated about Sylvan Esso specifically and not NPR music choices generally. Fair enough.
