DakhaBrakha: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert

Музыка

This show marks DakhaBrakha's return to globalFEST and Tiny Desk. The Ukranian band's first globalFEST performance was in 2014, and their 2015 Tiny Desk concert remains a favorite. We've had them in our spaces, so it's a real treat to see them in theirs, the Dakh Theater in Kiev. Coming together, their performance maintains the energy and joy that define their music, bouncing off each other musically and emotionally. DakhaBrakha aims to keep Ukraine's musical and storytelling tradition alive by making it more accessible to a younger, international audience, a kind of self-proclaimed "ethno-chaos." They craft stunning sonic worlds for traditional songs, reinventing their heritage with a keen ear for contemporary resonances.

Thanks to you for all your words and music, music which inspires me beyond words range. Thank you for shaping Music in a way that the gods should be jealous of, and gives pride to us all. Some of your songs belong with the greatest ever written, your beautiful voices, that even your beautiful faces can't compare to, make stones dance and bring tears from a dead tree. A true fan of yours from France, where I hope to see you soon, maybe even in my own concert hall! Rock on!

Check out their set on KEXP! The First Song about spring ALWAYS makes my dog bark because he thinks there are woodland animals in our house lol

Feel like I am being transported to my ancestors timeline, DOPE, these people are simply beautiful, these harmonies not augmented. Superb quality beautiful women , the man has a super cool voice my favorite song is Dostochka, I play it a lot as it helps train my voice to add a dimension of sound, not some boring autotune features. Artists like this, I wish would be able to come to the 🇺🇸 I would hop on a plane from where I live close to Canada, North Idaho and would fly to see you. Outstanding!

They aren't touring right now but they do tour the US and Canada a lot, saw them in Canada in 2019 myself. You would probably catch them in Seattle pretty easily.. when they go on tour again.. and it sounds like they can't wait to get back out there!
