Holy! It was such a wonder to be able to hear Naomi’s harmonies and their beautiful voice shining through! By the end I was just listening to them and the emotional breaks in their voice💕

why is no one talking about loose garment, i am crying on the floor and have been since it came out

this is definitely the HOTTEST teeny desk show so far, shout out to Josette not having enough room do to her hip swings and to everyone for not being able to high kick 😆

The strings added so much to these songs that I wasn’t expecting. Love the violinist especially, and her grin when people cheered her on at the last chorus of Silk Chiffon

The backing vocals on these songs are INSANE. So clear and beautiful. I love MUNA when they're rocking out live, but this is such a good representation of their vocal talent!! I loved this

You’re right. I really like being able to hear and pick out the singers’ individual vocals. And they sound so amazing live at their shows, too. Naomi and the whole band are incredible producers, but I really would looooooove to hear all their vocals sound cleaner and clearer, closer to live, on their next record. I’ve been listening to boygenius’ record a lot (haven’t we all) and in my headphones especially, I can hear each harmony part so easily! That is helped by Phoebe, Lucy, and Julien each having a very different voice (but they also still create a beautiful full blend), but I think it’s also a production choice- in the stereo mix, when all three bandmates sing, the lead vocal plays in both ears but the other two vocal lines are to one side each, like I am there with them. I’d love to see more pop artists explore keeping a vocal more raw even on an electronic/dance/pop track. Katie says has changed her vocal style through the years, to be more sustainable for her vocal health long term, and in this video you really can see and hear all that work- she has such incredible control!

I can't tell if they switched to "it felt good to me / ooh, why couldn't it be" or "it felt good to me / who I couldn't be" also but either one is just...

The drummer here is Sarab Singh. Dude is really great at what he does--he's a percussive chameleon. So good to see him behind MUNA at Tiny Desk!

Naomi’s country song voice is on POINT. MUNA better make an acoustic/country album😤😤

I sometimes wish that the versions of some of the songs in the Tiny Desk Concerts were available to buy. The version of Stayaway here is absolutely next level. Just a brilliant rearrangement and flawless.

My first time hearingthem today too! Just made my summer that much sweeter. The bass player introduction was a bit baffling though. If she's transitioning to "she" why dead name her like that by only saying her "legal name"? Just odd. But excellent band and I can't wait to hear all the albums I can find. 🎶 🎵 🎧 ❤️🩷🤎💜

naomi is an INCREDIBLE performer, how they helped katie with the tempo for silk chiffon and subtly reminded her about the change in lyrics to "felt" at the bridge! LOVE jo's vocals, katie's runs are so soothing to listen to, and i also really like the parts in silk chiffon w/o vocals when all the musicians are jamming out :) they're all amazing!! i've been obsessed with this performance ever since I finally listened to MUNA's discography

Only three songs? You’re killing me! Best new music I’ve heard in a year! Wow!

This is oficially my most watched Tiny Desk performance ever. I first knew about MUNA through this video and I've been obsessed with them since. It shows just how talented they are. Not only are they incredible songwriters and producers, they're also very commited to the quality of their live performances. Also their charisma and lightheartedness is just the cherry on top of the cake. They're so underrated.

After listening to this version of Stayaway, I'm openly weeping. It took me a few days to get to this. I am so glad I waited until I could really sit down and focus on it. Stayaway is my favorite song of all time, by any artist, ever. I've seen MUNA 9 times live. I've never heard Stayaway sound better than this. All of you brought your A game, and the strings added such a nice element. Just WOW.

They’re about to just be RATED. I have noticed the Swifties climbing onboard- it must be so weird to play to half-empty stadiums in the daylight as people are kind of filling in to find their seats, talking, waiting in line for merch and food, but I have seen so many posts of people being like “i just discovered MUNA” and “WHO IS THIS BAND”, lives are being changed out there!

I found the band when KZread suggested "kind of girl" based on what I was listening to. I was hooked immediately, they are amazing!

This is the first time I’ve fully paid attention to the lyrics of “Stay Away” and good god. Definitely one of my favorite bands. Their self titled album was my favorite of last year and their other stuff is great too. It’s almost baffling how consistently well crafted their music is.
