@@williemoore756 Let me make something clear. I love Patti, but I have to agree that her voice is pretty much gone. And it makes me sad. Even in her lower range she can't seem to stay on key. It breaks my heart to say this about my favorite diva, but it's true. She's almost 80 now and I guess all the belting has finally taken it's toll. But let me be clear she will always be one of my favorite performers even if she's not 100 percent. She doesn't have anything to prove. She has more than proven herself over the years. You only have to do your research and see for yourself. I guess it's true what they say all good things must come to an end. But if Patti could hit a note from her grave I hope I am lucky enough to be around to hear it. Because she epitomizes class.

Watched El Debarge (amazing!!) and went to their (NPR's) channel to find more. When I saw hers, I was breaking my knuckles to press click. She did not disappoint. I sing, and knew nearly all those songs almost note for note (all but the first one) so you should have seen a fan doing lead alongside Ms. Patti (you know she changes it up so I figured I'd sing the original arrangement while she did her thing). Well, you should have seen yours truly jump back when she hit those notes.😳😱😍 Threw me off key, made my voice strain trying to keep up and MADE me shut up and watch the genius at work.😜 It was as if she was saying: "Step aside jit and let the OGs show you how it's done."😂 She showed me, alright. Flawless!! Islet Brotgers next, Lord willing.

Patti's vocal control is legendary. If she can't hit the note with her chest voice, she reaches into her head voice and blows you away with that. She still can sing in the rafters. Yaw better kneel down and show some respect.

I have a friend that went to school with her sister that passed and she confirmed it all. You will NEVER meet anyone so real and down to earth. This performance is a literal master class from vocals, background singers, individual musicians then collectively the entire band. Let’s also not forget to highlight the styling of Ms. Patti from head to toe plus same for the actual stage setup/styling. Huge kudos to whomever created the stage concept plus styled Ms. Patti’s look(not that we expect anything less then impeccable from Ms. Labelle).

This amazing lady is 77-78 years old and still killing it! I love Miss Patti.

I loved EVERYTHING about this Tiny Desk. Patti owned the mic, the audience, the desk ect. Queen Patti showed the girls (and boys) how she made her name. Me loves!!!!
