I cannot listen to a new Pharoahe Monch song and do anything else effectively. The way he puts words together will make me stop everything to try and comprehend it. Hands down may favorite artist.

Finally got this album this week and my face melted off. Monch is and always has been incredible. Fan since 91.

It makes me happy to read all the appreciative comments. Music intense, Lyricism off the charts. Rap is alive and well. Thank you Th1rt3en.

This is a powerful and intense performance. I am glad to have NPR have the balls to put this out there for us all to experience. I really love seeing Pharoah spitting fire over live instrumentation! Thank you all!!!

This is such a phenomenal performance. It was a blessing to see Monch perform at the Kennedy Center just before the pandemic. I will cherish that moment forever!

I've always liked Pharaoh since back in the day! he was one of the only dudes to use lots of melodies in his raps even attempt to sing but in a very unique way. This ensemble compliments his style so well! the musicians he got weave so organically it's so calculated just pure artistry! i know people are feeling this cuz it's REAL.

My man Monch. I lost my brother early in the Pandemic. I already walked the thin line between funtionality and depression, and I struggled to find a silver lining in a world of darkness. In my darkest moments, the album PTSD was like a reminder I was not alone. I still struggle, I cry and some days I see myself giving up... but Im stronger in the battle. Your music is a beacon. Peace.

He said we should do Things that will help us with the english language like reading and certain movies, poetry and so on, then I mentioned underground hip hop and he was like no and I asked can I send you a few and the following week when I saw him again he told me he never knew about this type of music. I told him underground is educational in everyday life.
