"The Whole Love" album was just a masterpiece. It doesn't get enough credit in their discography. It was an incredibly inspired set of songs and the best thing since "YHF" or "Being There", IMO. You could tell during that whole period of promoting the album and playing shows that Tweedy was really happy with that record.

When I listen to some of these songs played live, as per this set, I think I could easily agree. I never liked the production on that record, though. I went to Rio, the 1st one in Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires. Definitely, the one in Rio was the best. The crowd was really mad, singing guitar parts and all. one of the best shows ever!

Great bassist, tight harmonies, strong songwriting, and just a really fun little performance from a good band I've never really listened to before. I like the descending to chaos ending on Born Alone. Reminds me of the "everybody's gone nuts" part of "I am the Walrus." Now I gotta find more Wilco music.
