My Daughter played Wilco for me today. I looked at her and said "Do you know how many Wilco CDs I have?" She said "alot or you wouldnt have said that". Smart ass kid, but I love that she knows and likes Wilco.

Their song Whole Love gets me everytime. Wilco is one of the best bands ever.
There has never been another rock band who can manage to present such dynamic songs with acoustic instruments as Wilco can. Each member plays a role in the overall sound with no egos in sight.
This tiny desk was so influential to me as a musician. It got me into Wilco and tiny desk. I think maybe the most meaningful music video for me ever.

I've never heard these guys before (of course, I'm ancient!), but I really enjoyed their music and their performance. The jazz guitar and oddball percussion truly adds excellent textures to the songs. I think this concert has made me a fan.

I agree. I was watching a tweedy video when wilco was suggested. The band name wilco was familiar, but this was the first time i watched one of their videos. I turned 60 yesterday (creeping up on ancient) And will certainly look for more Wilco. I think it will be a great way to start the day.
Nels Cline. John Stirratt. Glenn.. They are all so fantastic together. I feel very lucky to be alive in this time to see this. Thank You Jeff and Wilco. ♡
"The Whole Love" album was just a masterpiece. It doesn't get enough credit in their discography. It was an incredibly inspired set of songs and the best thing since "YHF" or "Being There", IMO. You could tell during that whole period of promoting the album and playing shows that Tweedy was really happy with that record.

When I listen to some of these songs played live, as per this set, I think I could easily agree. I never liked the production on that record, though. I think that's what put me off, and those songs went past me until lately. Think they recaptured their recording mojo with Star Wars & Schmilco (particularly), though.
Man, Glenn can play ANYTHING and make it sound good. He's an amazing drummer. And I love the fact that he has no problem playing something really simple if that's what the song calls for (which is the best quality of any drummer).

Lived down the street from Bob & JoAnn Tweedy. Lucked out one spring day & caught the Wilco crew playing wiffle ball in the street. Jeff was gracious enough to autograph my copy of the A.M. cd jacket. That was 1996. My daughter was 7 years old. Now she is a budding folk artist. At the time she had no idea what she was gifted by Jeff. Now at 23 she's a bonafide fan!

Heaven is where the radio station just plays Wilco, Nick Drake, and the Beatles for eternity. There a very few bands I can listen to almost constantly and not need a break for awhile to re-appreciate. Obviously Wilco are one of them.
You never know what instruments you’ll see at a Wilco concert 😂. But you know it’s gonna be GREAT.

Saw these guys at Gathering of the Vibes. The bands before them were psychedelic jam bands. The bands after them were psychedelic jam bands. They did not fit in at all. I was tripping my face off and when they came on, I immediately went to sleep on the lawn. After they were done, I woke up. It was absolutely perfect.
