Yann Tiersen: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert
Музыка
The French singer and multi-instrumentalist just released a new album called Skyline, and it captures his aesthetic perfectly: Its rich, buzzy, liltingly eccentric pop music is constructed from lots of sweet, intricate pieces.
Set List:
"The Gutter"
"Monuments"
"Tribulations"
"The Trial"

If I could pick one artist to listen to for the rest of my life, it'd be Yann Tiersen. I hope to see him at least once in my life!

I hope you have seen him by now. I saw him first time in Aarhus 2011 (Skyline tour). I was really dissapointed by that show, because he played nothing in the atmosphere of Amélie, and it was mostly noise rock. Though, I went to see him again in Copenhagen in 2016, on his EUSA- tour, which was totally what I wanted to hear. EUSA in full + 8 songs from his earliest albums (4 used in Amélie), and 2 from Tabarly. That was fantastic. He played everything from piano, violin, toy pianos, accordions. This is the Yann Tiersen I love.

I was thinking and trying to say something like that, you put the words
Already Gone by Yann Tiersen is by far my favorite song ever. I've been listening to it since 2010 when I was in middle school and I can't explain how much it has helped me through hard and dark times. It's such a beautiful and lively song . Too bad they didn't play it during this session.
I remember watching this when it was first posted up and now, 10 years later rewatching it brings a smile to my face. Thank you Tiersen and musicians for lighting up our lives. 😊🎶
Yann Tiersen..You made my days...All of them..
I can't wait to see him live. So amazing
Beautiful! Yann tiersen is a great artist. Thank you so much for sharing🍀🙏
yann tiersen is magic in a man
What an amazing concert!!! "Tiny" in length, but quite generous in its content. Thank you, thank you so much!!!
This is so beautiful! Thank you NPR :)
¿Por qué no tiene por lo menos 1 millón de vistas? Me rompe el corazón que algo tan hermoso no se conozca.

Fantastic!! Thank you so much NPR!
Yann Tiersen's music hits me the way Nujabes' (Japanese producer) music hits me. I love all of these songs and they are even better acoustic!! His orchestra and piano pieces are preferable in my eyes but none the less they're still great.
this is so beautiful - i hardly cry but this brought tears to my eyes
Just Perfect. I could feel the chords vibrations inside my nervous system
Beautiful music made my day Yann tiersen my inspiration for music.
Very beautiful.
Give it up for Kit Harrington, Richard Linklater and Dolph Lundgren everybody!!
Lovely ❤️❤️❤️
Love it!
oh Yann, you're a genious with your violin..
Love this stripped down version of Monuments, being able to hear the lyrics likes this gives such a heavier emotional quality
Wow wow wow. Yann composer of magic
great!

Yann Tiersen strikes again.
I´m surprised, but I really love it!
Algunas de las mejores canciones de Yann Tiersen
Your response, so very on topic ^_^
You won't be disappointed--I saw him last year, on the Skyline tour. The sound quality wasn't great, but that was just the venue. Otherwise, completely amazing. Wish I had known the songs better at that time, so I could sing along.
Is that a Neu! t-shirt Yann's wearing? He never fails to amaze me.
Master.
not first, yet still equally as important.
Dolph Lundgren to his ukelele, "I must break you."
Molto Bello ed Originale
I'm surprised to see a PC on the desk. You would think with this much hipster and music involved, Mac would reign supreme. Incidently, I could totally get into Yann's sound. Its kinda cool.
Half Moon Run on Tiny Desk! Get theM!
I like that he's gone from this gallic whimsey to modular synth noise-core
Eleven years?? OMG!
Very underrated Tiny Desk Concert. Only 159k views?
There needs to be a Harry Manx Tiny Desk Concert!
just imagine you're on an transatlantic ferry with Yann Tiersen, a grand piano, some guitar, a violin and synth, fuel pumps fail, no other dangers, evacuation might last for a whiiiiile
Advice for everybody : You should all go listen to the soundtracks of the movie "Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain" almost or all (can't remember) the soundtracks are from Yann Tiersen and it's just brilliant!

Not everyday you see a 5 strong violin.
How many instruments can Tiersen play? Piano, accordion, guitar, violin.. what else?

I migth say he is my favorite along side Sakamoto Sama.
The first song that is.
Yann Tiersen is the one with the violin
Hahahahaha. I love this comment!! EXACTLY what I thought!! ^.^
LAST SONG LOOKS Like a mix between blue sky by p floyd and the version of nirvana for Jesus dont want me for a sunbeam
The moon under water
More cynical comments in spite of this incredibly innovative artist? Is that the best you can do? Sad.
first time listener, who's dad is that, playing the 12 string?
Cómo se llama la primer canción?

Amelie song?? Tenía la esperanza de escuchar algo del soundtrack. Aún así maravillosa presentación.
YannTiersen es de mis artistas favoritos pero todo este repertorio no me suena a él :/
Adele?
first
Yann wrote the sound track for Amelie.
I got a lot actually but I don't really feel the need to show it on youtube. Plus I don't like some random stranger expressing some repressed nonsense without there being any real consequences for their actions... It's so contrary to everything one learns in actual social situations. But hey, that's just my opinion ;)
No Amelie songs !!!! No way .
@alanguedes7658

Yann doesn't want to be recognised as "the amelie's songs composer".
What? What relevance does this have to any part of the conversation/argument you've managed to strike up here in the comments section of a KZread video you profess to be uninterested in. You aren't making yourself happy by trolling for no reason and inexplicably judging people by their KZread video output. Not everyone has the desire to make and share videos. Hush child. Never use two exclamation points in a row, it makes you look stupid. Learn. Live. Stop trolling. Go away.
