The Black Pumas are real musicians, real vocalists from our younger generation. Their cd is absolutely amazing and grooving. They need and like Citizen Cope, deserve much more airplay!

Eric is such an incredible singer! I swear to God this man is talking to my soul. I wish nothing but success for them.

Wow ,.as a 1970's baby I missed Jimmy Hendrix and all that great era but this band is creating an era of their own.. ROCKING IT 😜😀

I used to think that all the good music is gone, but suddenly this great band appeared. This is what real music is all about... !

Eric Burton is a great vocalist. He and Adrian finding each other was just about the best thing that could have happened for American music.

this is now my favorite new band.. a black lead singer, a mexican lead guitarist arranger producer, an afrolatina and a black woman on backup vocals, a black keyboardplayer and two white guys holding down the drums and bass.. the youth need to see and hear this.. this is american unity.. and whats cool is his name eric burton, is like eric burdon, who was a lead singer for the animals and a 60s rock soul blues legend...

This is just about as silky smooth as it gets. Dang. I can’t quit the black pumas.

Coming from a drummer, this drummer is brilliant...great pocket playing, dynamics, precision, etc...props

This band is my new favorite. Groovy, soulful, imaginative, transcending and positive. It's what I wish church music could sound like!

anybody want to go full deadhead with me, buy a van, and follow the band around seeing all their concerts? Because this performance tells me it would be 1000% worth it.

Adrian and JaRon with the absolutely MIND MELTING solos in "Colors" oh my lord...

This guitar solo on "Colors" gave me chills.

Eric Burton = Eric Burdon It all makes sense now. Styles are different, but with a name like that you have to sing like a legend.

Doesn't look like tiny desk but it doesn't matter, I love anything from Black Pumas. Lot of love and blues power. Thanks for this amazing presentation!

Great observation. And you're correct. The 70s was such a great era for music. Record stores were a trip. Concerts were cheap, like 5 dollars, and they normally featured at least 2 bands, sometimes 3. Black Pumas are fantastic.

70s, 80s, and 90s. Occasionally the opposite would happen. Then you would just want to take the record out, and throw it like a frisbee. But when you got something great you spent time with it like a new best friend. This band sounds like a new best friend.

Takes me back to my old days... "Drown in my own tears", "Love and Happiness", "Pain in my Heart", Ray Charles' "Shake a Tail Feather"... some heavy reggae beats & sounds, and oh so many more! Those beats & sounds will never get old.

This is my 3 yo daughter’s favorite music. She basically likes nursery rhymes and this. I used to jam this one a lot when she was a baby and now she asks me for this vid every day. And it has to be this one, not some other performance. I think I’ve seen this one over a hundred times already, lol.

There's no way you can honestly dislike this beautiful and soulful music. This is incredible. Instant fan!

The BEST of the 70ties resurrected! Hope, Love, Equality!

This is one of the best live performances I've ever heard. The sound reminds me a bit of Curtis Mayfield, but it's so much more than soul and funk revival. There is strong rock here as well. Who could possibly dislike?
